Celestron telescopes rebadged as Orion

I'm simply assuming/guessing here but the feeling i get is that Celestron scopes are considered to be the next best thing to kids toys?

I'm very happy with mine..................i bought it cuz it was within my price range (for a first scope).I KNOW i can buy better...........and i will in time.

But i didnt see the point in spending 2-3 thousand euro for a pretty top notch GOTO when all i want to do right now is look at the "pretty stars".

Now i am HOOKED on astronomy..................i think within a year i will upgrade to a bigger better scope.........but for now i am happy with what i have.

I look forward to the day when we can buy scopes with an actual Synta or Jinghua label and don't have to pay a cut to American brand middlemen.

May be best not to hold your breath on that one.
