Then i remembered that i have a bag upstairs that i use to carry my recurve bow and kit in (i used to be a member of the Dunlaoghaire Archery Club). I tried it for size and it's PERFECT. It has an over shoulder strap to make carrying easy. It is padded. It has velcro straps inside to secure things.
It makes carrying the 22 Lbs of telescope so easy. I dont know why i didnt think of it before.

Theres an archery club in Dun Laoghaire? I only have a light training bow and whatever arrows I pick up cheap online from time to time, but it does for hitting bits of cardboard in the garden. Didn't know there was a club near me!
Back on topic the only scope I have that does much traveling is my 4" Mak and it came with a good enough padded bag.
Cheers,

Yep the club meet every friday in the sports hall of the National Rehabilitation Centre on Rochestown Ave...
Hmm... is this a reflection on the dangerous nature of the sport then?
