Hi all,
im just in from observing went to my usual spot on the coast lovely an dark...i had my orion sope up on my meade lxd75 2mins after setting up it started to play up on me....motor fault failure came up on the keypad and scope went in to a crazy position????? anybody help me out to why it would do that....i dont want the you bought it in lidl what do you expect replies!!! just need advice or solutions

Hi Tony,
The most common cause for this is the batteries dying, swap them out and see what happens.

First port of call would be to remove the OTA and counterweight then set it up as per normal. It should still go bananas but will eventually realise that something is wrong and will offer you the opportunity to recalibrate the motors. Press "OK" at this point. If it's just miscalibration, and my experience is that that is the most likely problem, then there will be a shuffling of motors and all will be well again - for a while.

my second problem is the keypad i cant read its instructions the words are flashing across to fast kinda like this: gghswhwsiwsj hhdwehded for ie

Now problem #2 suggests to me that Dave's solution may be the right one! Low voltage can have strange effects on modern systems!
