Magnetic probs sky-scout

Tony i'm just reading around about your problem with the scout. Apparently if you remove the metal sleeves from the batts it should work fine. Seems you are not alone.

just got a call from our good friend in astronomy ireland {Carl} who has being very helpfull to me with this problem....the battery sleeves that come with the scout stop the batteries from causing interferance is the problem....SO I STAND BY MY SCOUT as this is just small problem easily sorted people with scouts or thinking of buying shouldnt panic they are still a very good big boys toy!!!!....

Got some sort of an implant you don't know about from the last time you were abducted by aliens perhaps?

No they told me that wouldnt interfere with my scout or the telly!!!! :lol:

Hell no harm in taking them off and trying it.

Ye paul you where spot on...thats one of the main causes of interferance people taking the sleeves off and not knowing their purpose that came from celestron

ps: leave the sleeves on they stop the interferance :!:
