The R.A. motor cost me €30.
You can buy a R.A. motor for a "manual" scope for as little as €30?
How does a R.A. motor work on a manual scope such as mine 90EQ?
Does it just eliminate the need to turn ther R.A. knob? (i think so) or does it use a keypad similar to a GoTo? (i doubt it) where i type in what i want to observe and it finds it?
I ask because i find the R.A. knob a bit of a pain to reach from my seated position at the EP (lower end of scope).
It would be something i would invest in

Thanks Darragh. I'll give it a read tomorrow. It's my understanding though that people who actually use setting circles are a dying breed (as is the art of using setting circles).
I am completely useless with RA and DEC measurements..........for the simple reason i never learned about them. I have been all my life and most likely will be for the rest of it a "star hopper". So rather then mess about with setting circles i think for me the best option is a motorized RA because as i said...........the RA knob on my scope is just a little out of reach for me from a seated wheelchair position.
But never say never.
I will for sure give your link the twice over and try it out.
