Joanna,

I just did a check here through my astro gear and I have a set of ADM 150mm rings.

Can you tell me what diameter the William Optics ZS80mm is where the rings will go and I'll check if they will fit.

Regards,

Michael, it takes 90mm rings to mount an 80mm scope.

Joanna, measure the distance between the points where you can position the rings and that should help.

90mm rings will only work if they are clamshell rings. If you want to use rings with adjustable screws, you'll need rings larger than 90mm. (i.e. 100mm at least)

I just measured up my rings again and they won't take this scope.

Cheers,

Michael thanks for that web address.

Most sites I've looked at recommend at least the 100mm rings (the ones with screws).

I'm now looking at

www.galileo.cc/english/descriptif_access....php?ref=ADM-MDB-C11 and think I'll go with this dovetail
and these rings www.galileo.cc/english/descriptif_access...hp?ref=ADM-MDS-DR150 as they are the same price as the 100mm. (unless someone has any that they're not using anymore and wish to part with for a fee)

All recommendations greatly appreciated.

Will the dovetail above comfortably fit a Celestron CG5 mount on its own as well??
