I just hope for your sake John that the Obsessionator doesn't chew it up and spit it out!

OPT is an excellent company to deal with

They also help with the issue of import duties ... if you ask.

Hi John

Looking forward to seeing some of your work with the new camera, will this be a permanent fixture on the 20" Obsession that resides in the limerick region :) ?

John,
You didn't mention which of the cameras you got, you did mention low cost, is this the 60 fps camera?

Dave

I have ordered the DBK21AU04.AS camera . See link below.

www.astronomycameras.com/en/products/usb...s/color/dbk21au04as/

This is the 60fps camera with the 1/4" chip. I decided to get the camera without the IR filter as I now have a 1.25" Baader UV/IR blocking filter as an add on anyway which screws into the nosepiece provided. I am thinking of investing in an IR transmission filter to look at some near IR work also (only €49). Apparently this is good for cutting through poorer seeing.
I m using the USPS service to see if I get hit for customs or not but it takes 7-10 days to arrive.
