Anyone have a spectroscope? was created by michaeloconnell
Anyone have a spectroscope which can accurately determine the transmission curve of a filter/piece of glass down belom 400nm?
Cheers,

Hi Michael
Believe it or not, you are the second person to ask this question in the past two days
I have access to UV/Visible spectrophotometer which can do this.
Are you looking at 400nm to say 1000nm?

I never thought I would get an answer to my post!
Ideally, I'd like 350nm to a 1000nm or so.
If it can go above and below these limits, even better!
Need to check something for UV and IR transmission, and also for bandpass for between 390 and 400nm.
I know alot of cameras have difficulty in reading below 400nm. Would this be a problem for you?
Regards,

Easy. How large is the filter?

Well, it's actually a 40mm lens.
However, while you're at it, I might have another filter for you - 140mm diameter.

The sample needs to be flat and thin (like an eyepiece filter) to work.
It won't take say a camera lense.
