Thanks for the link Fintan - that explains things much better.
However if its comparable in costs to other precision drives, how come we don't see/hear more of it?

Its amazing that scope/mount manufacturers don't use this system, considering they go to elaborate software work arounds for the backlash problem that would be permanently solved with this mechanical system.
