Well I came home to find 2 large boxes from First light optics had arrived.
This is my new Cgem which I am looking forward to learning how to use.
I have never had a GE mount before and am sure they are a bit more tricky to use then the more familiar Alt/Azi mount I have been use too.
Will let you know how I get on with it. Plenty of rain forecast for the next few days, so will give me a chance to read up on it....

Excellent! You should have some fun with that mount. It should be a decent portable photographic mount. Do post some pickies of your new set up.

Thanks guys.
I think my first initial concern is space to store it.
I don't have an actual place to put it!!
It's a heavy piece of kit to be lugging around. Which way do you guys store yours?
Have to be careful with this baby..

Yeah, space can be an issue alright, I store my similar CGE mount inside near my porch door, with just enough room to get it out They are heavy though, make sure you do not have far to carry it, as it can really take a lot out of you!
