The 12 inch should fit on the back seat leaving the boot free for camping equipment. A decent bit of portable aperture for those weekend trips.
How did Keith get a16 incher into an Audi TT? Must have taken out the drivers seat?

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Ah yes, I remember now. Not much room for the family though!

The New Lightbridge arrived this week. Finally got it collimated yesterday and took it outside. Pretty decent optics. Jupiter was sharp and the stars were pinpoint across most of the FOV with a 16mm Nagler. The fittings are a bit cheap and nasty though. I have replaced the collimation screws on the secondary with Bobs Knobs, put on a Telrad and have ordered the new springs for the secondary and some counterweights. I can leave the scope assembled and simply carry it out in one piece-it is heavy but manageable. So I am ready to observe in a few minutes.
Covered in mozzie bites from last nights-clear skies but you pay for it.

Here it is compared to my trusty 8" Meade and C11.
I NOW HAVE TOO MANY SCOPES :woohoo:
