Managed to get a look at it tonight under high power by pure coincidence. I decided to have a look at jupiter and it did not even enter my head about ISS. Was using X166 and just took a break from eyepiece and saw ISS, Turned the dob towards it and got it in field of view with laser pointer....I managed to track it for quite a bit but at X166 I could not keep it centered for long enough to make out any shape
Next time I reckon I will go for about X100

Thats good stuff Trevor, what are the odds on catching that!.
As for what I saw, dont get me wrong, it wanst like watching the starship enterprise passing by or anything like that, its was small and there was a huge differance between the brightest and darkest parts making "seeing" it almost impossible, I guess that was down to the fact it had just entered the earths shadow at the time.
