John,
Thanks for the linux CD. I tried it briefly last night and it went very smoothly. I'll look into it a bit more detail over the next few evenings and I'll report back on how I find it.
I have created a copy of the CD for Seanie and will give it to him at the next TAS meeting on Monday week (BTW Seanie, the DVD/cd-rewriter you gave me copied it perfectly, thanks!) The gentleman at the door with the PC was David Bell. He's the main organiser of the Whirlpool Starparty. He's having a few issues with windows at the moment also by all accounts. He had given the CD back to Seanie but Seanie told him to hang on to it as he can get a copy from me.
BTW Dave, congrats on the broadband! Good to hear it arrived eventually!! I'm more than a little envious to be honest!
Michael

Ah, so that was David Bell... There's your name badge idea again Michael!
I just hope I left his PC in a useable state! - I meant to uninstall Norton AV and take a look at a few other things, but got distracted (too many distractions at WSP! )
Everyone in Ireland buys Meade, and they all buy them from Lidl.

Name badges will be provided next year, even if I have to get stickers and write in all the names myself
No seriously, wel'll have them.

Can we have glow in the dark ones so I can know who the hell I am talking to at the observing?
Cheers,
~Al (who managed to ask David Levy last year if he observed much!)
