Woops! I'm such a silly Billy :oops: The monitor gets it's power from the mains via a power lead which goes from the mains supply straight to the monitor.

Just my two sents worth, but I'd guess that the power supply is a Packard Bell one - they often have generic parts made for their cases.
Usually for a P3, a 300 Watt power supply is the norm.

The PSU is encased in a metal box. I will have to remove it then remove it from the box (have I the courage? yes). Nothing is marked on the box the PSU is encased in except "warranty void if opened by unqualified person" but that doesn't mean me because I'm now qualified after taking off all those wires . Give a little while and I will try and get it out.
