Hi Dave, the noise on the 6d is ok for astronomy so far, I was surprised to see a little amp glow in 2 corners of my shots, I have to bear in mind though that it was very warm that night, it should be a little better come the cooler nights ahead.
Both if these were taken at ISO 400 at just 90 seconds each. The picture quality itself is really superb.
