Here's my effort from Saturday night, dodging in and out of the clouds, and even a snow shower! Slight issues with LP - this was from my garden in Larne - but I'm pleased with the length of the tail I've picked up!

Hi astro photographers. I understand that Comet Lovejoy is heading in a northwesterly direction up to Andromeda. Some time in February it passes quite close to Almach (Gamma Andromeda). I wonder would it be possible to photograph this stunning double star and the comet together. Now that's a challenge! however, I do not know the date of the conjunction.

That's Tuesday the 3rd February.
Here's to clear skies. Perhaps the freezing snow will have come and gone by then. I have just recovered from a cold.
And I wonder what magnitude Comet Lovejoy will be then?
Thanks, Keith.
Aubrey.

A Good link to find out where it is and on what days, it only reports the last magnitude which is 4.0, Comets are unpredictable, it could get brighter, it could get dimmer

That is great, Simon. Comet Lovejoy is closest to Almach on Wednesday 4th February.
We are out that night, but my wife will help me set the scope up fast when we come home after 9.30.
Clear skies,
Aubrey.
