A big thank you to all of my Irish friends for the kind words. I do have to admit that there is a huge sense of relief that this aspect of the marathon is finally over with.
However, I am only half-done, for I have been after solar AND/OR lunar transits the past four years which leaves as an outstanding item a lunar transit.
As usual, some patience ... and I will catch one!!!
Anthony.

Dear Friends,
I have been flooded with emails from people seeing my APOD as to how they can observe the ISS transitting against the sun and/or moon. Rather than keep answering the same question(s) with incessant emails back and forth, I have decided to prepare a web page which may be of interest to people here as well.
For those interested, please see www.perseus.gr/Astro-Tips-ISS-Transits.htm .
Thanks.
Anthony.
PS. Thanks Tom for the kind words.
