Folks - after taking Keith G's challenge, I had a prowl around Orion and came across this lovely compact cluster. Whilst I didn't have the energy to process out the gradient (I packed in at 3am after the dog woke me up....), it still makes a nice image.

I'd imageine the fainest mag there goes well beyond 16!

Thanks Martin - I've never seen, let alone imaged this cluster before. Its very compact and pretty much all of it fits into the field of view of the DSI/C8/F6.3 reducer combo. So it must be quite small. Not sure what detail, if any, you could get visually...

Just checked out the SkyAtlas 2000, it is small, but really compact looking at it!
