Martin Mc Kenna
coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Jed,
That's a super effort there! Great focus and tracking in that image! Great detail in the dues lanes!
Just one note perhaps - the bottom left corner appears to have a slight red glow in the corner. is this related to light pollution or one opf the effects of the filters?
Don't get me wrong though - it's a great image. I'd love to take a shot of M31 as good as that. Oh, and finally, did you crop much/any of the image? Just wondering how large an angular area of sky does this combination of the scope and camera produce?

Hi Michael,
Dave Grennan took the shot on his scope. I just processed it for him
It is not cropped at all (just scaled down about 60%).
The lower left corner appears to be dark current which Dave reduced in Photoshop, but this left the dark area.
