Hi Dave.
I've often found that the seeing can totally mess up an image and I always try fixing it with unsharp mask, when I come back later and look at it, I only then realise I used too much.
I was going to take an image last night of the moon and mars, but just sat back and watched them through the eyepiece as the fog would have ruined any image.

You're a quick learner, the image in the link below is very good.

All you need do there was leave the exposure abit longer and it would be as if you were doing this years. :)

Hey Dave

It's great to hear that some of the eaas website has been useful to others. I just did a talk tihs evening on deep sky imaging and will be adding more info onto the Hints and tips page soon.
