You may find the 6.3 focal reducer you were talking about on another thread would be of some use here.
SCT design has some problems from a photographic point of view, the prime offender is field curvature, as well as some astigmatism (sp?).
Be carefull of the Celestron or Meade reducers as the introduce some significant vignetting (port hole effect) on 35mm type devices (DSLR as well)
You may be better of looking at somthing like the Lumicon easy guider that comes with a f6 and f5.3 (depending on les position) reducer and field flatener.
