Never *thought* anything of the sort in the first place!

Keep it that way Seanie - I know as much about focal reducers as I know about the workings of the internal combustion engine

The Celestron and Meade are designed to be used with an SCT.
Unless you have a very very long refractor, you should not need a reducer lens. Field flatener is another issue, but alot of "good" refractors these days have limited need of one.

Hi, Just a quick question - Can I fit an f6.3 focal reducer to a 80mm or 100mm refractor, or are they exclusively used for SCT's??
