You? A roughy toughy astroimager?
Concentrate on stretching images and not yourself!
Cheers

Good start Keith. You are just embarking on a journey that as Dave McD said, will break your heart and thrill you all at the same time. I remember when I started doing this (before I was autoguiding) I could get up to two minutes from my mount if I polar aligned good enough., and was prepared to take twice as many frames as I needed. However if, as you mention, you have a jittery motor drive, you probably wont get this long, but hey, no harm in trying. Also I'm worried that with a jerky motor even autoguiding wont work:(
Save those pennies and get hold of a mid range computerised mount and an autoguiding setup and you'll be in business.
