Folks - after (9929) McConnell, it was hard not resist an even harder challenge... :D

8515 Corvan is named after another Irish Astronomer - Patrick Corvan. He was appointed the the staff of Armagh Observatory in 1975 and retired in March 2005. He was assoicated with the Observatory for more than fifty years in total.

At mag 17.7, this was a real toughy - it nearly broke my heart! It certainly had my equipment operating pretty much at its limit and me at my wits end...

However, I'm pleased to share both a static image and an animation with you. Both are at the top of the page on the link below.

Now for Moseley... (after a rest... )

As ever, enjoy!

Dave McD

Brilliant Dave! Love the animation. This is a very interesting project. Are you going to try and image all the Irish asteroids over a period?

Wow Dave! That animation spans 36 minutes, and its moved so slowly during that time! Well done, great perseverence, and even greater achievement!

Thumbs Up!
