Of course I just had to have a go at fiddling with this with images plus etc.
The following is the result of slight digital development, sharpening filter, background adjustment. The result was then fed to neat image pro and cropped in paint shop.

I think I might invest in Imagesplus sometime....looks the biz. That image you worked with only contains a tiny fraction of the original RAW file.
BTW, did you get the tutorials with it? Are they worth getting?

I think you have to get the tutorials. All comes as part of the package. Michael, if you plan on doing any real imaging with your DSLR IP is the absolute biz. Did you get the full vesion of Maxim DSLR or are you just on a trial?
I found IP a hell of a lot faster than Maxim DSLR and a lot easier to use. But if you bought Maxim DSLR them maybe you might wanna persist with it.

Grand image Michael, the guiding is very slightly out but all the same a great result for 470 seconds.
Did you take staggered exposures to get varing depths of the nebula?
