Hey Seanie - where you been? Looks like you're catching up on posts
I submitted data for this asteroid to the MPC (Minor Planet Center) and they've taken it on board. I was also looking at two other asteroids the same night and they've accepted that data too. So I'm 'earning' the observatory status
I noted that another observatory submitted some data last night on the asteroid in the animation above. I don't know what the MPC will do with all the data other than refine the orbits. I dont't think they normally get back to the data submitters unless your data is poor or there's something really special happening. I suppose there's a small possibilty that Arecibo may come looking for images if they're still interested. But I'm becoming aware that things happen relatively slowly in this business...
I'm just putting together another target list but the weather reports are a bit naff for the rest of the week. Seems like the start to 2006 has not really been in our favour. Oh well, roll on Turkey!
