I just found the RC-5 remote from same shop i can order the usb cable, so less costs for transport. How much does the realse cable cost?

Hi Eirik,
That's right, mine came with the camera - it is called an 'Interface cable IFC-300CPU' - that's a mouthful. This is the cable that connects the camera to the computer. Do you have the software?
My release cable is an RS-60E3 remote switch cable. I got it from amazon.co.uk, and it cost me about Euro60 !
Otherwise contact Dave Lillis here ! Dave makes cables, he sold mr one for Euro15 !
Keith..

no software, but do i need it? Doesnt the camera get recognised by windows? As a storage device?
Would the RC-5 work with bulb? Its 37 Euro.
15 Euro sounds great, not sure how it would add up with postal fees though

I think so, I just loaded mine up when I got the camera, but take some shots, get the usb cable and see if the shots will load. You can have the option of loading the shots into windows, but if you shoot in RAW, you need this - the canon software will convert RAW files to JPEG's.
Maybe you can get software on the web that will do this?
I don't know about the RC5, i'm sure it would work, but I have'nt used it
The cables Dave has are very light, I'm sure postage would be low enough.
