M104 - The Sombrero Galaxy was created by DaveGrennan
In the midst of an 80% Moon, I managed 46 frames last night. All 90 seconds @ ISO 1600 on my 300D.

Would have liked more frames, but you gotta live with what you can get!!
I cant get this from my backyard as there are trees blocking the low southern horizon. SO I took the opportunity while visiting a friends site last night.
More details under the image

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Some great, bright detail in that halo surropunding it Dave, nice shot.
But, when 'scrutinizing' your superb image, I found something I wonder if you could explain, circled in yellow:
its looking like a faint group of stars, but I reckon its too charp to be so. Is it from your camera?
Seanie.

Great image Dave.
Just wondering if you would perhaps tune the levels down slightly to reduce the "glow" around the galaxy? Would it remove too much detail?
