In all fairness Dave, you're probably right. I get a definte glow to the East (Dublin) and rarely image over that direction anyhow. I'd more often be imaging South or West. But I can't imagine what it must be light to be imaging in the middle of a city....

That said, being in the middle of an estate surrounded by sodium street lamps doesn't help - at least visually.

I guess an interesting data set would be two images taken with the same setup - one in Limerick and one at a dark site.

COnsidering that the image is unprocessed makes it seem very impressive. Just wondering: does it record the images in fits format?

Yes it does, actually (I think) it only does fits.
