Where Dave is situated in Limerick is off the city centre. The strange thing is that the light pollution there is not near as bad as in the suburbs.

There is proprietary software included "Artemis Capture" It seems to do a very nice job. The interface is very straighforward has a focus aid (using half width and peak brightness) It allows for taking a single snapshot or a sequence of images. It allows for subframe capture, which may well be nice. Certainly very useful for focussing, you can get an update on your focus star almost every second if you use an integration time < 1 second. It has a nice auto stretch feature so you can see what you just captured and any of the display settings you choose dont affect the raw data. I like it a lot.
Plugins are provided for Maxim DL and Astroart.
Regards and Clear Skies,
Dave.

Dave G - is it proprietary image capture software or do you get Maxim/CCDSoft? Just curious...
Cheers
Dave
