Some find detail there Mike, although it looks a little dark to me.
Do you have some sort of cloud parting machine or something, it was torrential rain here last night.

A fitting result from Shanes excellent lecture! For someone who think the moon gets in the way sometimes, you take an amazing picture of it Michael ;-)

Looking at the image again today, I agree. It seemed much brighter when I processed it at 2am this morning.

Here's another attempt at processing it to create a brighter shot. Let me know it this appears any better or worse.

Thats the job!!, that look alot better to me, its so easy to get 2am-itis after processing the image :lol:
There is a good brightness range across the lunar globe, what was the seeing like when you took that?

Looks much better. You might even get a little more detail out of the darker area if you use the adjust the curves a little...
