Incidentally, there's a chance to see "O'Neill's Bridge" on Dave's image - just look at the westernmost boundary of Crisium (at the bottom with this orientation) where two promonotories almost meet..

Thanks for the heads up on that, I've never heard of that area been referred to by that name.
Here are close ups someone else took, just to show the effect

Apparently its best seen 4 days after full moon, back in 1953, a J. O'Neill speculated that this feature was infact an artificial bridge. An interesting leap of imagination.
Heres a link to the image Shane refers to

Great image Michael, catching the crater peaks like that right on the terminater is always great fun, especially as you can usually see a change every 5 minutes or so as the sun "rises". I've always found the webcam more difficult then the 300d for lunar imaging, still worth giving a try though.

Spectacular image Michael,
I was trying for a set of AVIs tonight (7th) to make a mosaic of the whole moon, but the seeing was not good, so I gave it a miss. That shot is really inspiring though.

I spent last night (6th) in Sandymount with Deirdre and other IAS members at a Chernobyl Childrens fund raiser star party, we only got a few minutes of the moon and Jupiter for the whole night it was rotten with cloud, but by the time I'd driven home the sky was much better. Maybe it was just the location down by the sea that was cloudy.

Clear Skies,
