Another excellent image Mike - well done.

As regards Libration, there should be some visible, but it would be fairly small. You'd really need to zoom in towards Crisium or north of Frigoris to see it. I find the terminator comparisons more interesting though. Just compare Messier A and B from Dave's image (Thursday night?) and then Mike's last two. The way the rays are beginning to expand and the detail become less crisp.

Incidentally, there's a chance to see "O'Neill's Bridge" on Dave's image - just look at the westernmost boundary of Crisium (at the bottom with this orientation) where two promonotories almost meet.

Well done again to the two lads.

Oh yeah - anyone able to do an animation of the three images? Show the terminator moving, contrast changing, &c.

What I particularly enjoy when watching the Moon at this phase is the crater Clavius. It's got what look like two "rings of fire", or at least that's what they look like to me anyway. You can see it near the southern pole at the right of the image on the terminator. This image does not even come close to doing justice to what this crater looks like through a scope.

Here's a not-so-great blow-up of this region from the original image. I must try and webcam it next time...
