30th May Moon and Jupiter was created by JohnMurphy
What a beautiful night tonight was. A Lovely crescent Moon in the West and the spotlight that is Jupiter high enough in the South. I had to get a few pics:
I tried for Saturn later but it is now so low in the muck that it wasn't worth the effort (still I was literally out with the shears cutting a gap in the neighbours hedge to try it - hope she doesn't notice).

John - lovely lunar images there. Nice focus in both of them. Now, go try a mosaic
Jupiter is rather green - perhaps that too is made of cheese...

Yep green it is, still it's better detail wise than my last one. The reason for this is the adjustment of the blue and red channels manually as low as they can go (there isn't one for green) to try to reduce glare and pick up more detail, this does tend to green the image. I'm sure a bit of photoshop colour balancing would improve the balance (if I had photoshop). Still I'm sure that I can probably improve the image with my MS Digital Image Suite.
