Hi,
After last nights great view of the moon Io crossing Jupiter, I spent some time today getting a sequence together, it works fine for me, so can you tell me if you see the 8 frame sequence here, I'm not sure its working right here.
www.irishastronomy.org/user_resources/fi...-anim_jupiter+Io.gif
anyway, each of the 8 frames came from an AVI, between 1000 /1500 frames were stacked for each image, I tried keeping each frame as similar as possible colour/hue wise, but its not exact.

Holy...... something or other! Thats, well, I have to say it, amazing Dave. Excellent work there. I've never seen a gif like that, or even of Io transiting before. You got a great one there!
Thumbs up!

thanks, I found my problem, zonealarm was stoping animations,
You can see as the frames go by that the seeing varied from one frame to the next, sometimes it was quite good, and then it would go to pot, by the time of the last frames Jupiter had only lost a few degrees in height (approx 16 degrees above horison) but it was becoming more noticably blurrier visually.
