Moon and M45 12th September was created by DaveGrennan
At 22:50hrs on September 12th myself and my wife Carol took a pair of 10 x 50 binoculars outdoors to view this evenings conjunction of the Moon and the Pleiades star cluster. The observation was made through broken cloud. The 'Seven Sisters' glittered to the upper right of the Moon. The scene had an almost 3 dimension effect with the Moonand M45 set against passing clouds. We both agreed that this was one of the more stunning sights we had witnessed.

Shortly afterwards the cloud clear completely so I then brought out my camera to capture the scene. The following is the result of my efforts;

That's class Dave.
It must have been an awsome sight!
Nice work with regards to the image.
Spliting it up works really well.

Oops, when I looked at this on my monitor in work, my heart sank. I can see many artifacts left over from when I montaged the pair together, Looks like I still have work to do on this photo so I'm withdrawing it until its sorted later.

This is image has now been corrected and is available again. Sorry about that. When I looked at it on my monitor in work I could see lots of artifacts left overfrom montaging the two frames together. I think I've corrected that now. If anyone can still see any of these artifacts please let me know.
