Actually, Jeff has hit the nail squarely on the head regarding your question Ronan.

There are a bunch of sites which have sketches/drawings of what people see through the eyepiece.

Sketches made by fellow observers are exactly what you are looking for. I have loads of sketches myself, but don't post them here. Deirdre Kelleghan probably has the most posted sketches of what she has seen through her 8" reflector, on these boards.

Sketches are the best and most unbiased comparison you can get - as it can only portray what the artist saw 'live' at the eyepiece, with the eyeball!
