M15 by Eamonn Ansbro

Eamonn - I'm looking at buying a secondhand Apogee AP7B with the 502 chip. Would you recommend it?

Also, what did you mean by poor temperature control?

Nice job gents, M15 is a lovely globular to look at! I think it's officially the brightest globular in the northern sky?

What I mean by poor temperature control is the inconsistency in the cooling regulation. For example, when setting the cooler to -30 deg C the regulator can shoot down to -32.5 deg C and then start moving towards the -30 deg C setting. It is always hovering around the -30 deg C setting. I may be ultra critical as regards this issue, it shouldn't put you off the camera as a whole.
The AP7b was the early version of the AP7p. There was some design improvement within the the AP7 series that ended up with the 'p' version.
