M31 - Andromeda Galaxy

Gary,

This is a very good image given the difficulty in capturing M31 with its dramatic dynamic range. I am anxiously waiting for some good weather to spring my new toy - a Tak FSQ-106 - into action with M31 being one of the initial targets.

The right portion being red strongly suggests amplifier glow which is easily removed using darks (there is no mention if darks were used or not).

This is a wonderful image of M31, it always look's wild to me in my scope and difficult to sketch, but you have captured it well.

Good image but seems that you have pushed the processing to far and got saturation (is that the right word?) almost seems like bad jpeg compression?
