As I was saying to you in the office the Baader filters are perfectly fine for imaging, I use the RGB set with an IR/UV blocker (Should be one on your webcam all the time), IR PASS (use in black and white - this is Dave Tylers fiiler!), and the UV for Venus (for shooting the clouds of Venus - again in b/w). A cheaper alt to the Lumenera is the ATK 1HS - have a look at Dave and Damien's results with these.

Carl - do you have any more details on exposure times and total exposures? Also, was the toucam modifed?
The first image seems rather 'flat' brightness wise though you have captured some good detail. The second image is better IMHO.
That said, the two you took on 03/11 are the best of the bunch. Perhaps the seeing was better or the lunar illumination better.
Have you tried any lunar shots with the C14?
Cheers
Dave

hi dmcdona
the toucam is not modifed the reason it is a bit dark is that part of the moon is so bright aristarchus creator is so hard to see inside. the creator is hard to image i have a C14 shot of it as well, check out the lunar lighthouse on this thread i would like to know what you think of it .

Carl - I actually saw the C14 image but forgot to commend you  That's a nice image - perhaps the seeing wasn't the best (when is it?) evicent in the lack of very sharp features. That said, I don't want to sound as being overly critical - its a nice image and I'd be pleased if I took something like that.
Lunar imaging can be problematic especially if you're close to sharp changes in brightness and I know that processing becomes extremely hard in those conditions.
One final word, I have been spoiled recently by looking at some fairly incredible lunar images taken with an AP Mak-Cass. Take a look and see what you think...

If you take something like this, then I guess we could all pack our bags and head off into the sunset
