I love the H16. My other camera is a SXVM7C and it will now be my guide camera. The H16 I have is No.2 on the serial number hence the glitch with the capacitor. ITs about twice the size or a bit more than the 7C. I have seen reviews on the web about this cam and all are very good. It has the same ccd chip as the SBIG 4020M but at a much better price. Sky & Telescope have banged on about Starlights lack of user manuals etc but at least when you have a problem Terry sorts it out very quick. I'd hate to have to send an SBIG back to the States for a fix.

Micheal,

Just seen the price tags and WOW! Think I might look at a 66ED from William Optics or I think Skywatcher are coming out with a new widefield scope.

Kieran,

That is a wonderful image. I love this target and your image is as good as any widefield image of this area I've seen.

Well done!

Regards and Clear Skies,

Dave.

Dave,

Your image of M81 was a lot more detailed in your post about an old friend. I was just now wondering if it would be possible to take the images from the same area at different focal lengths/cameras by all members and then coregistering/combining them. Anyone up for a challange?

Yes - it is possible. Registar can do this. Not sure if any other software can.

Great image!
Nice wide field of view, the galalxies look a tiny bit blocky, all the same its the best image I've seen of them together in a long time. Keep up the great work.
