That is a magnificent shot. Probably your best to date?? Your guiding is absolutely spot on. I'd say the very tiny egginess around the edges is just a bit of field rotation. Is your scope on an equatorial wedge?

Good point Dave - didn't think about that. Its a contender alright. Also note that even if the mount is a GEM, poor polar alignment can give field rotation on long-ish exposures or lots of short subs over a long period of time. I saw this with teh AP (albeit at a ridiculous focal length and very poor polar alignment).

The scope is on a wedge but I still have not fine tuned the drift alignment. If I can get a few clear nights to do some decent imaging then I will sacrifice one night to drift aligning. Someone said you had a URL for drift aligning software?
