Saturn and the Moon was created by paulevans
Realistically the only way to do this and make a nice photo was to make a composite. Some regard this as a cheat. My take on is that it's a vaild technique for dealing with the limited contrast range of CCD sensors provided the pictures are otherwise unaltered, are taken at very close to the same time and are on the same scale - ie a representation of what was actually seen.
This is the case here!

I watched the encounter through 20x100 BCF binocs (3 deg field) on a tripod.
Wonderful sight.
Titan was visible in the binocs at all times,though hard to make out at times (high haze in Cork...looked,and looks now at midnight, like a "Solar Corona" around the Moon).
