Nice one Dave.
This really was a jaw dropping sight. The two most beautiful sights in the solar system just 10-15 arcseconds apart.
Dave, I got quite a few images but somehow managed to delete most of them accidentally. I have one at ISO200, 1/125s and can't seem to bring Saturn out without totally washing out the Moon, I'm sure you had the same problem, but you've obviously overcome that. Any tips ? What photoshop should I buy ?

Hi John,
A pity the images were deleted, with the 300D its too easy to format the flash card and wipe everything out, I am very deliberate with that erase command on the screen, especially so the days after the eclipse in Turkey.
The first image is actually made up of 20 images, the first 10 were set at iso200 and 1/100 sec exposure to capture the moon only, the third image is actually one of these, Saturn is very faint in it but is just about visible.
The second 10 images were iso200 1/15 sec, this over exposed the moon but shows up Saturn nicely. I then did a cut and past operation and put the good Saturn image into the good moon image in the exact proper location.
Its just not possible to get a good image of Saturn and the moon on an image scale like this in one single shot, their respective brightnesses are just too different, I hope this helps.

Dave,
Thought it might have been something like that alright. Well done on a great shot.
