Hi Carl,

I just looked at the video and was somewhat disappointed at the laborious method used for the construction of the LRGB image.

There is a much faster way ....

(1) load each of master L, master R, master G and master B
(2) go into the CHANNELS window and click on the little arrow on the far right
(3) from the drop-down menu which appears, select MERGE CHANNELS
(4) from the new window which pops up, choose "RGB" (the CHANNELS will automatically change from "4" to "3") and press OK
(5) from the new window which appears, select the appropriate file for Red, Green and Blue from the little drop down windows

The above will create VERY quickly and automatically your RGB image.

(6) go back and activate the Lum image ... Select -> All and then Edit -> Copy
(7) go back and activate the RGB image and Edit -> Paste ... Blending becomes "Luminance" .... and you are done as you now have your LRGB image

The above may sound verbose and a lot of work but it is really 10 seconds in total from start to end.

Carl,

Not quite. You load each of your four master files (Lum, Red, Green, Blue) and then proceed as I describe above so as to build your LRGB image file.

Carl,

As a little exercise, let's do the following:

(1) grab ANY colour image you have (even one of your dog, for example)
(2) go into the CHANNELS window and select SPLIT CHANNELS
(3) the three files you see now are what you should be loading initially (really four files since there is also a luminance)
(4) now, again from the CHANNELS window, select MERGE CHANNELS and watch the magic .... and the quickness

This is the process I describe above in my previous message.
