Autoguiding up and running with M51 was created by phoenix
Spend tonight getting my autoguiding up and running. Autoguided with an M7C through a 80mm apo piggy backed on 10" LX200. Imaged at F10 with H16 2x2 binned. This is the poor mans mount when compared to Michaels Gemini and others. If I had gotten things sorted quicker before the moon rose I would have lost the dust doughnuts. This is about 16x2 minute exposures some of which were hazed by cloud.

I agree. There is one 'artefact' though. I don't know if the rest of you can spot it, but there looks like there are a couple of bubbles in the murk of space. What are those Kieran? I think only a picky eye (like mine) would really pay any attention to them. Otherwise, you've got a pretty fantastic image going for you!

Definitely dust, a picky eye Seanie but not picky enough to read the posts properly
I don't think there is much of a tracking problem there, but there does seem to be some sort of coma there on the edges.
I surprised by this, I would have thought the 10" field was flatter then that, given the small field of view. You might just be a tiny bit outside of the perfect focus?
All the same, a smashing image.
