I suspected as much. I noticed a bit of a halo around the stars, its more apparent in your first process. I'm sure i'm preaching to the converted here but a UV/IR filter would do wonders for the star sharpness in this image.

Jed gave similar advice to me over the weekend. I must also get one of those to reduce bloating.

OK - by the way, I met Mike People's in Adorama, NYC, on Monday. He's the bloke who took the Supernova image. Now, *that's* a small world :shock: Gave me free Televue baseball cap :D
