M63 - 13/03/2007 was created by michaeloconnell
I know I probably shouldn't try and process images on the same night I take them as they never seem to come out properly compared to processing them at a later date, but anyway...
M63, 12" SCT f/6.3, ST-8, 10 x 6min exposures guided.
Weather for this week is looking good so will come back to this image when the clouds roll in again.
Regards,

Michael,
I am sitting in my shed imaging the Leo Triplet and you come along and spoil my night by showing this image. I am wasting my time even trying here. That is absolutely amazing. I do not think any further processing will improve on what you have there. Rob Gendler move over.

What can I say, just amazing!.
The galaxy detail is immense, although the star centres are a tiny bit off.
I'm not sure I'd add the spikes on the stars.

Bloody Hell! That's fantastic. I give up!! Anyone wanna buy some gear?
BTW I'd also leave out the spikes too Michael. Your choice of course but I'd leave em alone.

Looking at it in the cold light of day, I'm inclined to agree - or at least the way I'm currently producing them. Must experiment a little more.
Cheers,
