Has anyone tried to capture that 'star cross' effect through
a regular dslr?
I don't like 'adding' effects in photoshop.
I want to try capture the conjunction of the Moon, Venus and Plaiedies
later this month and that cross effect might be an nice way of portraying
the cluster... combined with a webcam shot of Venus & and earthshine shot of the Moon....could make for one nice image....

Frank,
I have such a filter but have never used it. You now have me thinking. From what I know, they come in different flavours including 4, 6 and 8-star spike patterns.
The fellow's price seems a little expensive. I would have expected something around 3-4 euros.

Never heard of someone using one of those in astro imaging, it would be interesting to see the effect it would have although adding more glass to the system for star spikes seems abit too much, I'd stick to the wires on the front of the scope.
