Is your 'dot' lower-right of centre? I personally doubt it would be an Io transit dot on such a small image.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it isn't anymore.
By the way, upon second 'inspection' of your (first) image Frank, did you trace a black circle around Jupiter? Nothing personal, but the edge of the disk just looks, well, unnatural for a not-so-sharp image.
No worries Seanie say what you like.
Nope. I just did the usual processing in registax, no photoshopping.
If you look at the top left of the pic there is a black dot!
Matthew, although I 'd love to think I picked up something so
small I guess It's really not possable with the set up I have...
Ho well...I just guess I need a bigger scope so...

Is there really a definate line around the edge?
Maybe my monitor isn't up to scratch...
I do some processing on the laptop coz its faster
but then I take the image from there and do any further work
on the main pc.
I wonder am I missing something?
I did adjust the levels a bit but by 'no photoshopping' I ment
no adding anything 'artificial'.... if ya catch my drift....

Dont ever say that frank! Dave mc donald discovered a supernova with a C-8! Nothing is impossible!

Will be to arrive where we started
